An announcement from Blue Labour London organisers Anna Jones and Rowenna Davis:
We’re delighted to announce a Blue Labour event on 3 July – with an exciting discussion planned:
What Would a Post-Brexit Blue Labour Britain Look Like?
– Lisa Nandy, MP for Wigan
– Caroline Badley, Community campaign organiser and consultant
– Renie Anjeh, Blue Labour activist and blogger
– Maurice Glasman, Labour peer
After the panel discussion, you’ll have a chance to connect with the speakers and your fellow audience members.
Maybe you feel constrained by the narrow left-right continuum that politics is so often limited to, and don’t really feel like you have a political home. Great, this is the event for you.
You may or may not be a Labour party member, maybe you’ve just heard about Blue Labour and want to learn more. Great, this is the event for you.
Maybe you’ve been around the Blue Labour scene for a while, but have struggled to get connected in. Great, this is the event for you.
We hope this will be a catalyst for growing the Blue Labour discussion here in London – a commitment together to the common good: sustainable politics that helps people lead meaningful lives.
The panel discussion will start promptly at 18:00 (as Lisa may be required for a vote) and, including Q&A, end at 19:00 in time for the England game.
The venue is The Ship Inn on Borough Road SE1 1DX. It’s a 5 minute walk from Borough tube station or 10/15 minutes from London Bridge.
Come meet us at 5:30PM for a drink beforehand and / or stick around afterwards to watch the match.
Please do RSVP by contacting Anna on firstname.lastname@example.org – although if you forget turn up anyway!
